My name is unusual enough that I obscure it online to stop certain family members finding my work and offering helpful suggestions about my life and work. There are three others that I know of online. All younger than me and doing amazing things with their lives. I’ve never reached out to them but now I’m wondering if I should.
I was having a bit of a clear out at the weekend and rediscovered a Jiffy bag that a dear friend and I used repeatedly to send small gifts back and forth between us. It’s covered in a decade of sellotape and old address labels one on top of the other. The top address is one from 25 years ago. So I guess it’s my turn to send her something.
I'm the only person with my surname in the UK, there are only about half a dozen more in Europe and about 30 in the US - it's a dead name - not great at school when being Welsh was an imperative - and I have absolutely no digital privacy whatsoever, but handy enough for work. That song helped me get through College in one piece - you've heard my Roddy Frame anecdote.
I can't understand how I've never heard that song. It's fab! I have a friend in the US who is absolutely obsessed with Roddy, which I've always found a bit random. But not as random as your inspiring relationship with another SS! x
There aren't many Stallwoods. Only one Kim Stallwood. This is fortunate for everyone.
One is more than enough!

Love the sound of the jiffy bag! Get shopping!

I'm waiting to hear your RF anecdote. Was going to ask you next time I saw you!
Do you remember the Dave Gorman show. He spent the whole time searching the world for other Dave Gormans.
I do. As Picasso (supposedly) said good artists borrow, great artists steal!

High Land Hard Rain (the album with the song on) is a work of staggering genius - Roddy Frame was just 19 when it came out!
