I got a detention for using Toners & Shaders! Like many, I got rid of a large chunk of my beloved vinyl when I thought technology had improved things. How wrong I was...
Snap! I also bought Ma, He's Making Eyes at Me! Looking back, it was such a weird thing for Lena Zavaroni to be singing. But then my kid sister also bought Little Jimmy Osmond's Long Haired Lover From Liverpool, which was equally weird.
I don't have either of those records any more, but I did keep the vinyl bought during my twenties, and we re-bought a turntable to play it on. Not that we often do, but I'm still loath to part with the records.
I know! The lyrics to both of those songs are bizarre! There's something about the tactile nature of taking an album out of its sleeve and putting the needle on it that nothing else captures. David and I each kept a few of our records, now in the loft. I'll hunt them out one day.

I can still smell them both! And Boots Country Born Setting Gel. And yes, so many of us now regret binning those discs!
I still have huge numbers of records, including all my Throbbing Gristle albums!
Do you still listen to them all? And TG?
I do, although TG less often than when I was young. It's more jazz nowadays...
Not Jazz Funk Greats!
